SYNOPSIS
Wendy (Katie Weigl) is preparing to host an evening at her home for friends, during which they will read an addendum (Codicil!) to her dead husband’s will. Her husband’s twin brother (Jamie Insalaco), his college roommate (Dan Conrad) and friends (Greg Vorob, Marc Seidenstein) all attend to find out exactly what Will left them in his… will. Is there enough to change their fortunes? Can they learn to work together as friends? The very idea of money changes everything.
DIRECTOR/PRODUCER’S STATEMENT
WILL READING is my first shot at directing a feature length film, but I also wear many other hats: writer, producer, editor and the list goes on. I even cast myself in a small role!
Making a movie has been my dream for a long time and I must say with all modesty that the finished product has exceeded my expectations. The performances of Katie Weigl, Dan Conrad, Greg Vorob and Marc Seidenstein brought the movie to life in a way I never dreamed possible while hard work behind the scenes from everyone to my wife, mom, dad, sister, my best friend since high school and more kept the train on the tracks. It’s not just a movie, it’s a testament to our faith in each other and the idea that anything is possible if we stay focused and committed. And more than that, you can make a movie for less than $5000 – it just takes a really long time!
But here we are – the movie is finished. We’re excited to share it with the world! Our hope is that it will be as much fun to watch as it was to make.
I can’t wait to do it all over again!
